I picked up my 75 B SA in .40 Saturday, and made it to the range today. Pistol fed, fired, and extracted 300 rounds without a hitch 135 grain to 180 grain ball and various hollow points, brass and copper jackets. POI is dead on with POA, and all in all it was a very successful day, for a while I felt like the 'friendly' girl in junior high, everybody wanted to fire a magazine. Not to many had actually had a chance to fire one before today, and the CZ forum will have a few more lurking tonight. One question, about 2/3 of the fired brass has firing pin markings dragging from the ignition point to the edge of the primer. I'm new to centerfire autoloaders, so I conducted some testing to make sure that it wasn't occuring as the slide was coming to battery, and I feel confident that it's occuring on extraction, for some reason the firing pin must be late retracting. Does this indicate a weak firing pin spring? Slide rearward movement must be pretty quick with the 14 lb spring because extraction is pretty positive 10 to 12 feet. I purchased the 16 and 18 pounders from Wolf but the firing pin springs they supplied look very different one being twice as long as the other. I'll pull the pin spring when I change the recoil spring before next range trip. If anybody has some experience with this shout out.
