when I tried my PCR slide on my RAMI BD frame the slide would not lock back on an empty magazine.  Here is a picture of the gun.

The problem is that the groove cut in the upper for the slide stop to pop up into is not long enough. It's a pretty simple fix just need to cut/remove some material from the slide untill the slide stop works.

Sold the rami long slide I did this on but haven't been able to bring myself to sell the XCR yet.

I could get a pic up of a generic Cz slide showing what needs remove tho if you would like.

That would be awesome to see the pic if you wouldn't mind. What is the XCR I have heard mentioned a few times?

You can see it here: http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=69370.0
It's essentially a RAMI slide on a PCR frame, the forum member did some real nice custom work to get it fit really well.

Alright the easiest way to get started is to take your rami and remove the slide stop, now looking in the slide stop hole closest to the safety pull the slide all the way to the rear. Watch the groove in the slide that the slide stop pops up into and it's relationship to this hole. Now swap slides and do the same thing and you will see that the compact upper slide stop groove needs to be lengthened to get the slide stop to work.

Here is a pic of the stop where material needs removed.

Go to the link above and on page 3 you'll fine the XCR and a rami with a compact slide.

Thanks for posting the picture and directing me over to that other thread. That guy's Rami was pretty tricked out in the end and it was perfect to see the compact slide on there and read what he had to say.

HA! Thompson forgive me for that mental lapse and not connecting that was your Rami project (it's finals week and all my brain power is going towards statistics for QA). Your Rami is super good looking! And thanks again for sharing all your knowledge and experience.

That is good looking! Reminds me a little of my friends Springfield xds 4.0 in 9mm with the nice extra sight radius, slide weight, and barrel length. Wish cz did this from the factory, or let us order mix and match. Came across this thread in the reloading section and there's a nice Rami frame with a full size slide. Looks really nice!  Thanks again  for sharing Stuart!

My RAMI with a .40 SP01 Tactical slide.  Does a 75 or 85 slide have a longer "cup" for the recoil spring and guide rod?  Photos I've seen of a 75B slide on a RAMI don't have the gap...

got my slide and hammer!  Took quite a bit of 'adjustment' to the hammer, and still more to go, but it's functional.  Cost me a touch more than I wanted, so plans for an RSL, Fiber front, and weight loss will have to wait.
