Cajun Reach Reduction
« on: July 30, 2015, 11:01:23 PM »
Hello all,

I am thinking about installing the reach reduction trigger on my PCR. Has anyone had any experience withe the reach reduction trigger? How was the perceived DA trigger pull?

Please let me know

I don't have the CGW Trigger, mine is from CZC
So I can get the correct "DA Finger Position" on this Trigger
Now I get the proper DA Trigger Pull
Bottom-line: I really like the Reducer Reach Trigger
So tell me again how Trump was worse then the 8 years before .... AND what's coming after HIM !

Do you have an issue/problem with getting a proper/comfortable finger placement on your current trigger?

The trigger is still really smooth and crisp on my 9mm 75B that was one of David's first reach reduction jobs before there was a CGW:
Poor pic, sorry.
Before the SR mod,  both pistols' triggers were the same reach.  Top pistol is an SPO1 Shadow.

The trigger pins are on the same line vertically and the reach change is "very" noticeable in DA.

The reach reduction will move the trigger rearward up to around 5-5.5mm.  It shortens the reach of your finger for the DA pull.  It does not do anything as far as change the weight of the DA pull.

I like the Reach reduction, it lets the trigger fit my short, fat fingers better.

I have it on a pcr, I like it... but as said its not the part that reduces trigger pull rather it relocates the static position of the trigger
I think it makes more of a difference if you struggle with where the trigger is

As noted the Reach Reduction reduces the distance by about 5 mm. I was looking forward to the install. At the end my short fingers remain a bit of a stretch. I can reach the trigger now. but, in my case it was not enough. This was on the CZ 85.
It all sounded a lot funnier in my head.

Does it do anything for the SA reset? I like my short reset and was thinking of playing around with the reach reduction kit for my next gun.
snakeye, no worries, I don't need someone in a leotard. :)

I too am considering the CGW reach reduction kit.
Posted a while back asking for tips, tricks, level of difficulty, etc on this specific installation.
Got some great links to full takedown and re-assembly pictures/instructions so I'm set there.
For those of you who've done this particular job...any feedback?
Thanks
