Good deal for CZ 75 Compact (All steel)?
« on: August 18, 2015, 12:11:37 AM »
A local shop around here in Utah has a CZ 75 Compact (all steel, safety model) for $473. Since I don't have to pay shipping or for transfers (just tax) is that a pretty fair deal or should I look harder for something better? It seems fair to me, but I don't have the experience in the CZ 75 compact world like those on here. Thanks!

PS - Here's the page http://www.impactguns.com/cz-75-compact-cal-9-mm-luger-black-polycoat-15-rd-mags-91190hicap-806703911908.aspx just as a reference. And no, I am not associated with this shop.

Looks fair to me. Best price on Gunbroker right now for a new pistol is $474 plus shipping and transfer.

That's a pretty good deal. They still run over $500 here in PA, and that is before NICS and taxes, so about $540 OTD

That will work. Doubt if you will find it any cheaper.

Remember if you find something online, you'll have to pay a FFL fee...which would probably be somewhat similar to paying tax.

$473 pre tax is a good price.

That is a really good price plus you get to go the store and try it for size before you buy! Also nice to support LGS when possible  :)

Go for it!  As the others stated that is a nice price and you don't have to worry about shipping and an FFL transfer fee.

Well after accruing some funds from selling  one of my other pistols I wasn't too fond of I got my compact all steel manual safety tonight. Terrible DA, but parts will be ordered for trigger work tomorrow. I love this gun! Fits in the hand wonderfully, SA is far better than any stock striker fired pistol, really good frame to slide fit, and very solid barrel to frame fit. Definitely some differences from my Tactical Sport, but what at under half the cost this is far beyond any other pistol in its category.

Just remember, with a safety you won't need DA unless you manually lower the hammer, or the round is a dud.

Congrats!!!

My LGS sold me an all metal NIB 75D PCR last fall for a tick under $500. ( $480 I think ) I thought that was a pretty good deal. I have not seen another priced like that.  My trigger got pretty nice after soaking it in oil and grease and just shooting it a lot. About 300 rounds she started smoothing right out on DA. The SA was pretty good to begin with. Probably got close to 800 rounds fired now and not a hick-up. Accuracy is pretty amazing for a 3.8 barrel. Its one of my favorite CCW's now.
