Hi folks,
I have a CZ 75 B with the Omega trigger that I bought new in 2009. It has been used heavily as a loaner gun to the local WOT event that my wife teaches twice a year for the past 6 or 7 years. It has a lot of rounds through it.
Last year it started acting up when pulling the trigger in DA mode...it would not fully cock when pulled and would come to rest in the half cock position. I can't tell if it is going fully back and not engaging or not going back enough to catch the sear in the fully cocked position. It works fine in SA mode from a full cock position either manually cocked or by racking the slide. The hammer will stay fully cocked until the trigger is depressed in SA mode.
Doing some research on the web....it behaves similarly to a gun that has had the trigger bar spring knocked out of place by a Mec Gar hi cap mag...this is an old problem if you have never heard of it. I also spoke to Dave at CGW and he suggested it might be a worn trigger spring or one that needs adjustment.
I jumped in with both feet yesterday and completely stripped the pistol for the first time down to it's parts. The trigger spring looks OK but I can't say that with authority as I don't have a new one to compare it to.
The hammer appears to have considerable wear and has two distinct faces at different angles. Is there anything strange about this? Again, I don't have a new hammer from another Omega equipped gun to compare it to.
Looking for any input regarding this matter from experienced members so I don't have to bother Dave until I know what parts to order to try and fix this.
Let me know if you have questions or need additional pics while the gun is still in pieces...lots and lots of pieces :-(
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
