Received mine yesterday.Pretty neat loader.  1 suggestion, make it an inch or so longer and you can fit 10 rounds on it,  currently it fits 8.
1 observation, I typically use the tightly packed ammo boxes (ie magtech) and it is a little difficult fitting the loader between the rounds.  So for easye of use, use traditional boxes where there is space between the rounds.

I'll look into seeing if I can reduce the width at all. Lengthening it wouldn't be too hard.

The width is as narrow as I feel comfortable making it. Check out this review by Buffman!

You've probably given thought to making them out of aluminum. The nylon 7 is light, and it seems to work well, but I'm worried that over time the rails could  split. Particularly since the rounds can be torqued if the user accidentally fails to bottom the loader onto the surface of the table.

I've been thinking about that.  Right now I looking at different ways to have them made.  I may have them metal injection molded out of stainless!

I would definitely be interested in a metal version. If you do make them, make them an inch longer so we can load ten at a time. I regularly load nine with the current one and it works great.

It actually going to be 1 cm shorter if things work out. You are limited in size with metal injection molding. I am looking into traditional machining too.

Yeti,
I agree with some of the others I would prefer a metal version for the added strength.
Plus I think you will be able to get smoother loading (due to material not flexing or deforming), but I could be wrong about that.
Plus if you did it in stainless, I can already see myself polishing the channel to get that n'th degree of perfection out of it. :)
Sorry that last part is a character flaw of mine.
