That 453 looks great! I have varmint in need of the same treatment and would be very happy with similar results to yours but i have NO woodworking experience. I see you used 400 grit paper with the Watco. Did you sand between coats? What grit did you use after you used the chemical stripper? Sorry to dig up an old thread but im excited at the prospect of having my favorite rifle look this good. Any other advice is appreciated.
