Add loctite to set screw on loaded chamber indicator on late 97B

If you don't, it will loosen and eventually fall out.  Mine had loosened but had maybe 2 turns left before it was gone.  Use a 1.5mm allen wrench, back it out all the way, add a drop of blue loctite, reinstall, snug it down.  Should be there forever.  It isn't a standard set screw either.  It has a small peg on the end to engage the slide hole.  It is a good design, it just needs some thread locker due to the service it is in.

I had the same problem. Put locktite on it and haven't had a problem since.

Do the same on early ones, too. I bought mine in early 1998 and while firing it the mag shot dry. Changed the mag but had a really hard time racking the slide. When I checked the gun I didn't have an LCI. I don't know when it came off the gun, and the gun still worked. I called CZ-USA who sent a new LCI and set screw. As mentioned a drop of blue loctite was added to the screw and no problems since. It's an easy preventative procedure .

Yep learned this a few years ago. One day at the range while shoot my 97BD I notice the lci missing and of all the great luck all the goodies landed on the range table. Loctited it in and has not been an issue since.

Had mine loosen today. Just enough  to keep the slide from closing  fully. Whent a little nuts til i found the problem. So add me to the list

Just an FYI:  that loaded chamber indicator also determines the rear of the barrels ultimate lock-up position.  So it's pretty important.  We always Loctite every 97's LCI that comes through the shop, blue Loctite seems to work best.

Were you doing that three years ago when you worked on mine? If so then I won't mess with it...

I found this thread too late. I didn't notice the set screw backing out until I experienced a misfeed.
When I discovered the problem, the loaded chamber indicator pin and spring were nowhere to be found.
Fortunately the plate and retaining screw were still on the gun.
CZ Custom does not have these parts available, and referred me to CZ-USA.
CZ-USA didn't want to send me the parts, they wanted me to send in the gun. Turn around time... 4-6 weeks.
CGW... Sure, we have the parts. Yes, you can install them yourself, it's pretty simple.  Let me get those out to you.
Three days later the parts arrived.  Installed in about 10 minutes. If you know what you're doing, you'll probably do it in 3.
Blue loctite on the set screw.
Great customer service by CGW. If some parts don't show on the web site, give them a call. You might get lucky.
It's a great day.

Just a followup - I got around to checking my BD and discovered the LCI was in fact loose. It was so loose I am certain the screw would have come out at my next range visit.
