I installed the 10x bushing in my SP-01 tonight. Went right in with no problems. The barrel still dropped in easily but appears not to be any gap around the barrel as it did with the factory bushing. Is that normal for the barrel to drop right in?
Mine seems like it took a little more wiggling but if you line it up just right, yeah, it drops right in.
It's the no movement when in battery that makes it a winner.  8)

Received mine today, will install this weekend.  Shot the 97 and Kadet in bullseye practice today, looking forward to the 9mm slide on the Kadet frame.  Will heavy up the trigger pull to 2.5 lbs with the bushing swap. Red dot sight on the way for the 75B 9mm slide.  If nothing else, I can video a 75B vs P-09 shootout.

Now that would be an excellent comparison, specially if you could shoot the 75B with the red dot before the bushing installation.

Just an update but the replacement .550" bushing came in and the first one was fitted into the 75b .40 that the previous bushing wouldn't. The previous bushing wouldn't come close to allowing the barrel to drop in that gun or a 75 Shadow.  These seemed to solve the problem and this bushing is even tighter to the barrel.  Looking forward to shooting some groups the weekend if the weather agrees.

Installed mine on my TS this afternoon (along with the FO front sight and straight trigger). Wasn't too bad to install and the lock up is amazing. Thanks GGW

Tested CZ-75B in 9mm today with the open sights.  Accuracy is excellent.  As good as my open sight P-09.  If it will shoot close to 1" with the red dot, I'll be happy.

Good modification.  The bushing cut my group size in half with open sights.  Gun finally shoots like a "modern" gun!

UPDATE:  after successfully installing the .550 in my SP01, and the smaller in our 75B 9mm, I got a third (.550) from CGW and put it in my extra SP01 slide.  This one took real work to get the old bushing out--couldn't get it to budge despite really beating on it; ended up freezing the slide for a day, then using 'heat gun' (wife's blow dryer, I think I got away with it so far) to try and differentially heat up the outside of the slide--bob's your uncle, came out with some serious elbow grease.  All good--

But then, tapped in the new bushing, checked for light and lined up the roll pin with roll pin punch--and couldn't get it in.  Knocked the pin back out, and it's started to unravel--useless now.  Closer inspection of channel with bright light--posterior of channel with slight ledge from the back of the channel cut in the bushing--obviously where pin got hung up and distorted.  Knocked the bushing back out, went to work for a while with round file--now bushing back in with totally clear channel, but I've had to order new roll pins (always order extras right)--

Already let schmecky know, as he says, "some fitting may be required"--which means check the channel with your magnifying glasses on before you try and tap the roll pin back.   ;)

There are definitely some variations in the pistols the way they come from the factory.  My factory bushing was snug but no snags or poor machining on the slide.  The factory bushing itself was not pretty, a little off center and oval.  When the point of impact moved 4" up and 4" left at 25 yards with the new bushing installed, I knew the old bushing was off.

So, definitely, we all need to check for burrs, high spots, and flash from the factory in the bushing and pin bores and remove them before installing the new bushing.

I rushed home this evening after work just in time to meet the UPS truck with another Burris FF III 3 moa sight for my 75B + bushing.  I got the Springer Precision mount on Tuesday and had already mounted it on the 9mm slide.  Quickly installed the sight and rushed to the shooting range 19 miles away to sight it in and check the groups before sundown.  Got to the range with less than an hour left, hung a tape square target at 25 yards and another at 50 yards.

Took one sighter shot at 25 yards and checked it, about 14" low.  Quickly turned the elevation 1 and 1/2 turns up and took another single shot.  Hit the tape square.  Couldn't believe it.  Done!

Shot a few 5 shot groups at 25 yards, then went to the 50 yard target from a rest.  Took me a few rounds to tighten up the groups--shooter rushing, nothing wrong with the pistol.  Here are two groups, had three more just like these.

I was not happy with these groups, to be honest, but the problem was me being in a rush, not the pistol.  I pulled out the exceptional P-09 with red dot and couldn't shoot a 3" group with it, so I KNOW the problem was me.  Even at 25 yards I couldn't shoot a good group with the P-09.  I'll go back and shoot it when I am calm, cool, and collected on Sunday.  I have a bullseye match in a week and I just might shoot the 75B in the centerfire match and the same frame with the Kadet in the rimfire match.

I'm pretty sure that when I shoot the gun correctly, like I know how to do but don't do so ALL the time, the groups will be excellent, as in 1-1/2" to 2" at 50 yards from a rest.  I shot the gun fine today standing single hand timed fire pace at 25 yards.  Would have been all 10 ring hits for 5 rounds.  That was actually a better indication of what the gun is capable of now than me shooting the gun not-so-well from a rest at 50 yards.  Pretty sure it will be close to the P-09.

I'll refine my rest shooting technique and shoot the CGW bushing-ed 9mm 75B at 100 yards next.  Might be after the match.  My immediate need is to  heavy up the trigger pull a little and practice single hand bullseye target shooting in preparation for the match.

No wind today.  Not good for me, I always shoot well in the wind, LOL.
