SP-01 Shadow Target

So I stopped by a gun shop on way to my hometown today and a SP-01 target just happened to follow me home.

So my question is, is there anything that needs to be done to it. It has 8lb DA and 3 lb SA.

Clean lube and get really familiar with it inside and out.  After it's fully "your" shooter,  see what you "might" like to improve on the pistol.

Because of your choice,  i assume it's primarily for range and/or competition uses primarily.?

Yes. Uspsa and idpa. Upgrading from pcr which is my edc.

For USPSA the Shadow Target is fine.  However fall 2014 IDPA deemed the Shadow Target illegal for SSP since the slide was milled by CZC (who makes the Shadow Target for CZ USA) to accept the LPA adjustable rear sight.  Even tho the milling of the slide for sights was allowed in the 2005 rulebook, later iterations of the RB made that no bueno.
