Official Scorpion Picture Thread!

Thanks. This helps a ton.

The Surefire Scout uses the same exact style mounting system so I should end up with something just like what you have on yours, but using a streamlight pro-tac rail mount. It's about half the price.

Did your Thorndale mount come with one or two rings, or was it a flat mount? I'm trying to sift through them all on Amazon and can't get a picture in my head of which one will work best.

This is the new version. It allows you to adjust the offset more. It?s actually better. One last thing. You will have to file some of the mount because it bumps into the angled front of the Scorpion. You can see it in the pic below.

Another question for you Sigma - what do all those controls do on your remote pad?

The remote pad is for the Steiner CQBL on the right side of the rifle. The light I activate it with my thumb on the back.

Sigma - thanks. I don't mind a little filing... actually enjoy it. That little CQBL is no joke! I've never seen one. Very nice.

I'm wondering if I try and get that light out as far as possible (longer light) in an effort to minimize the shadow from the can.

I went with the 5.5" length, HL-1. If I ever shoot it un-supressed I don't see it being an issue sticking out there and if it is, we'll find out. hah!

Edit- this guy has his mounted on the top rail. https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=95634.0

It's superficial. :D Just looks a little clunky. It is very functional though. And nice to throw a laser on there.

I see. I think some of the fancier setups make the normal setups look worse than they are. haha. That said, I'm going to mount my 'fancy' setup tonight - I have two to try.

So after mounting this setup (thorntail/streamlight pro-tac) and the TLR -1 HL, the Thornsdale mount wins hands down. There's just not enough rail space below, which is where the TLR 1 needs to go on my pistol.

After deciding on the Thornsdal/pro-tac I configured them several different ways in an effort to minimize the shadow from the suppressor. This is what I ended up with, and, it's not only pretty darn ideal but it I think it looks really good too.

What do you guys think?

Anyone have an FDE version who wants to swap hand guard and/or upper receiver for a two-tone look? Mine is all black but I like adding color to my collection.

Forgot to update my pic with the new HBI trigger and safety switch.
