While you're at it, order a FPBL lifter spring or two.

And I notice you are working over the sink.
So If you do lose a spring or two, you will get some plumbing experience too!
I am still waiting for my trigger spring to come back down to earth.
I would order one or two of each spring while you are ordering, unless your fingers are much more nimble than mine, they are cheap compared to shipping cost, and time lost waiting for them.
Notice that we are all mentioning springs going astray, it is not that we think you will lose them, it is that most of us have, a time or three.
Mostly remember what BDG mentioned, you will feel great when you get it back together and it ticks like a clock!

No worries. We were all freaked out amateurs at one time.

These may help, just go slow and don't force anything.  Everything will slide into place when properly aligned.

I think Friar nailed it, either the decocker lever spring is broken or not in the right position.

I DID IT!!!  I ordered the parts you recommended.  It was as you had said.  The spring was not reset properly.  The slave pin was a life saver.  The decocker works like a charm!  Thank you all for your help.

Congratulations!
I bet it is a lot less intimidating in there  now.
Nothing feels better than getting it fixed yourself.
