A few months ago I got to thinking. (And that can be dangerous sometimes [emoji2]) I love my Rami, but I wished it felt more like my other CZ's. Well hey, why can't it become a true 75 Subcompact??
I started taking measurements and sure enough I thought it could be done. So I reached out to BGlas and told him my idea. Rami grips shaped like 75 series grips. Thumb rest and palm swell. BGlas was really interested, so thought I'd do what I could to help.
I had a set of plastic 75B grips lying around so I got out my Dremel and started cutting and sanding. Soon I had a set of very ugly, rough looking grips, that when installed on my Rami, had pretty much the exact same grip dimensions as my P01. ( I.E. Shape, feel and thickness swell to swell)
Told you they were ugly looking[emoji12][emoji12]
I sent them to BGlas to see what he could do. He's great to communicate with and soon he had some prototypes.
I asked before posting and he told me to go right ahead. Keep in mind that these are prototypes, but to look at them you'd never know it. He does beautiful work and as he progresses I'm sure I'll have to pick up some more[emoji2]
I just hope my post does him justice ( I tend to ramble) This set is a little thicker between the thumb rest and palm swell than what the 75's measure but it's pretty dang close. They are extremely comfortable and IMHO completely change the ergos of the Rami. As far as I'm concerned BGlas has turned the Rami into a completely different feeling pistol. Besides obviously being shorter in the grip, it now feels like when I grab ahold of my P01 or SP01. And they feel great when shooting. Yes they are a little thicker than the factory grips but I don't notice it while CCW'ing.
I'll try to post pics of my other set when I get a chance.
Ok here they are, these are morphed from his wide grip design.
These are Koa wood
