I can't for the life of me think why I've not posted this here yet...I get side tracked and forget to do things so I'm sorry about that.

For a while I've been working on a charging handle that matches the flat trigger I sell (you can pick one up at www.shooterselement.com) and this is what I've come up with.

It's also going to be a flat style charging handle. The idea behind this is that curved charging handles suck your hand in closer to the guard, I for one don't enjoy grading my knuckles on the rail and this charging handle will give the shooter more surface area to grab without working about that. It's also reversible, meaning if you want a curved charging handle it can be configured that way (I may offer that as a customer option at checkout). Lastly I'm targeting the end of the month or sooner to release this and it will be offered in black and red with a target price right now of $54.99.

Now I know some of you are looking for a folding charging handle. At this time I will confirm I'm working through a design that would accomplish this, but I will not share pictures, costs or timelines as I'm still in the early stage of development. I hope you enjoy the pictures and will be as excited about this next product as I am.

I can say the handle feels great and is very comfortable to use, the curved back of it actually provides for a great place to rest your thumb and is great for increased leverage.

This may sound weird, but is the handle reversible? I may actually prefer the curved part to face forward. That way it would function as either a flat or curved handle too!

I'm interested in this design. I like the ideas that it's reversible. I still like the curved side of the charging handle. I'd buy a black one.

I've been asked a couple times now how much longer the charging handle is vs the stock one and after looking at everything it measured in at roughly  300 thousands of an inch longer (so over a quarter of an inch. The goal was to create a handle that was still lower profile that didn't get snagged on anything and everything but gave the shooter a larger area to charge the weapon with. The new enhanced charging handle from Shooters Element will do just that.

I'm also adjusting the design slightly to create a more textured grip on both the flat and curved side so those running the weapon in adverse condition that may also be running gloves will still be able to get a good grip on the handle by adding some cuts on the flat and curved sides if all goes according to plan.

Here's pictures of the revised charging handle its raw state, the final versions will be red or black and will be reversible (flat towards the muzzle or radius towards the muzzle). This is only the handle so the final assembly will include the rod and spring and will be fully assembled.

For $54.99.

Then we move to safeties and folding charging handle (hopefully, still need to get prototypes made for that).

I've been waiting for the release of a charging handle that looks like an enlarged factory one and I think this fits the bill.

I really like that handle but would prefer it to be folding ... maybe like the HK-91/93.  It doesn't need to be very big, but bigger than what it comes with would be an improvement.

I'm working on a folding solution however an HK style handle is not in the mix right now. The folding handles on HK's actually ride inside the charging rod travel area and it actually helps keep them together. The folding one I'm working won't have that option because that groove is so small on the Scorpion. I'll get some pictures up soon enough, I'm sure you guys will like it. But the standard handle first...must stay focused on quality and design.
