Want to Change Your 805 to the Czech Pattern Mag ...

There was an article in "Small Arms Review" back in 2012 about the Bren 805.   It says that originally the Bren did not have the magazine well pin, but after testing, it was one of the requested changes that the military wanted to make sure the magwell was stabilized.   It may never move without the pin, but I wanted to do mine since they put it there for a reason.

I have one of the retro magazine kits on my S1 pistol. I haven't pinned it, and it seems plenty solid to me. The flapper release is just long enough to be reached with the middle finger of the shooting hand to drop the mag. Plus there are other magazines that will fit in the magwell other than the factory CZ ones.

Yes, my HK G36 mags work perfectly with the Czech pattern magwell.
