I found a range in Orlando that is pretty cheap to rent so I will probably just rent from there (but I'm probably going to have my gun ready for pick up at that ime anyways :P)

Thank you though!

I think I'm gonna be able to save some money on hotels on one of my business trips, so I can shift some funds to my CZ fund!

Go to Davidson's Gallery of Guns (http://www.galleryofguns.com/). They have a number of CZ 75s in several configurations. Plug in your ZIP Code and enter how far you're willing to drive. They'll respond (instantly) with a list of FFL dealers within your area where you can pick up the gun and what the price will be. Plus, you'll get a lifetime warranty. Hard to beat a deal like this.

Yea I've checked them out. Unfortunately they don't have very much. Only a 75b SA, and the same price as an 85 Combat from elsewhere. I figure I don't really need to worry about warranty too much with a CZ since they're pretty reliable?

Be careful of the Davidson -75SA.

I had my LGS go after one for me in January, but the Davidson's picture didn't look right online (curved trigger).

Davidson rep went and pulled one of the 10 and confirmed that it had a curved trigger.

If I'd only realized it at the time, I might have bought it, a -75SA with a curved trigger(!) but we couldn't get the guy back on the phone to confirm that it WASN'T a -75B/BD/Omega that had been loaded into the system incorrectly.

Just got my paycheck 3 days early for some reason, and I think I'm definitely gonna be able to buy a gun now!

I just need to do some more research on my Illinois gun laws to make sure I don't get into legal issues out of ignorance!

So what all do I need to get as a first time gun owner?

Is something simple like this gonna work for cleaning?
http://www.amazon.com/Hoppes-Cleaning-Aluminum-Caliber-Pistol/dp/B001A4N47G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455347934&sr=8-1&keywords=handgun+cleaning+kit

Will this work for as a "safe" or is the foam still going to induce moisture and rust? I am probably gonna get one as a flight case, but I don't know if I need to buy another safe or not.
http://www.amazon.com/SnapSafe-XL-Lockbox-Security-Valuables/dp/B00TONRU9S/ref=pd_sim_200_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=31QPlQlv4NL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1F072E41NT0G5ARDYFR9
Or maybe I'm better off getting this?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A75EVJO/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=

I am not really concerned about theft or quick access as I am getting the gun as a purely range gun, not home defense, and I live in a pretty safe area. And I have other things that are far more valuable. That said, I do not mind investing more money. I don't like buying more than once.

Can't help you with the safe but that cleaning kit will be fine for you.

If the goal is to prevent access and not so much give you easy access, then a nanovault NV300 (combo lock) or a NV200 (keyed lock) would likely get the job done for you as well.  The one you have listed is a top flight safe from a security perspective.  I am no safe connoisseur by any means, so that is a "better" safe but I wonder if that matters given intended use.  I have an NV200 lashed to the strut of my trunk  deck in my car and it's how I move around my match gun during the week.  Can fit one full size pistol with a mag seated and a spare magazine or two

Just out of curiosity, which range is this?

Anyway, if you're looking for a decent deal on a CZ in the Orlando area, check out Shoot Straight. I bought my 75BD from the one in Cassleberry for 592 OTD.

I like the Nanovault too, but I was worried about it potentially causing rust when I'm storing between shooting? I don't think I can fit the gun w/ a sock in the vault.

This is the shooting range I found in Orlando that looks pretty cheap! http://www.eastorangess.com/

I checked out Shoot Straight, and I can't find an inventory online or that they even carry CZs so I'd rather buy online just to be safe.

Yeah, I'm familiar with East Orange, I actually learned how to shoot there back when they were just a pistol range. I was wondering if there was a new place I didn't know about.

Well, I picked up mine yesterday and they had a stainless CZ75 in one of the display cases when I was there, but you could probably just give them a call to confirm whether or not it's still in stock.

Ahh, I actually don't really like the look of stainless steel guns. Pretty nice since they cost so much more :P

I am leaning towards getting a CZ85 Combat from Bud's.

Thanks for the heads up though! I'm planning on going to East Orange next time I go back home, it looks pretty good!

I don't give my match gun a lot of encouraging unless a major match is approaching.  No issues with rust.  Throw some desiccant packs in there if you are concerned.

You could use something like this inside of the lock box - http://www.borestores.com/order_online.php?cam=product_details&prod_id=5076

Okay, thanks guys!

I think I am going to go with a Pelican just to be sure I will have enough space for the sock. Gonna get some desiccant packs as well. I plan on shooting like every 2 weeks though anyways so it'll be pulled out frequently enough!

Now I just gotta work out the FFL details!

Also, back to the cleaning kit. Should I just stick to the Hoppe's #9 or is it worth investing in an Otis Professional Pistol Kit?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000LIKL5K?colid=25RFLXZQ5USAU&coliid=INE3DOJS1E33M&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl

I know kits typically aren't as good as a hand selected kit, but I just don't know enough at this point to hand select everything, and the Otis seems quite highly regarded.

And another question, does the CZ come with a cable lock? I'm unsure whether I should buy one or not.

FWIW, your CZ will come with a cleaning kit. It has a bore brush and a patch rod.
Honestly, I use my bore snake more than anything. That and some larger patches to use as cleaning rags.
