I have a P-01,  but find it uncomfortable for concealed carry.  Would a RAMI be more comfortable?

Quite possibly.  I carry both, but carry the P-01 more often.

What do you not find comfortable about the P-01?
Many times it can be addressed with the right holster/belt combo, just depends what's causing the discomfort.

I have a P-01 that I  find too large to carry! I carry a Rami IWB with no problems. Mostly because it is shorter and grip height is a big factor!

I carry a SD9VE (same size as a Glock 19) and just bought a Tri Star C100 that is almost exact same size as the SD .....that will be my new CCW when I have it broken in and I have the feel of it.   They are carried in an Alien Gear IWB holster.  I Prefer the larger pistol as my CCW as it give me better control...(ME, not saying it gives everyone better control) and larger mag capacity.  I do have a TCP738 (micro compact class 380) that I will throw in a pocket holster to go to the store when wearing draw string shorts in the summer.  Never feel as secure with it as I do the larger pistols.

I live in Illinois, the law here prohibits carrying in a number of places I normally I frequent, which means I must remove my handgun and store it in my vehicle.  So a "hybrid" holster which is more difficult to remove and install is not practical, which leaves me to a the single clip iwb type of holster that is easier to remove and install.  The P-01 due to its thickness, weight, and length makes this a difficult proposition to do while sitting my vehicle at least compared to the Kahr CM9 I own.  I shoot a shadow in USPSA and would prefer that manual of arms, which I cannot replicate with Kahr due my large hands getting in the way of the it's slide stop.  I would like to stay with the CZ platform, which is why I wondered if the RAMI might not be a better fit.

Ah, that makes more sense, thanks for the reply.

I like the RAMI BD because I can swap between it and the P-01 without having to remember different operations. I could carry the RAMI with 14rd if I wanted to, but I usually carry it with 10rd mag because I'm heading somewhere that I want to be extra careful with sensitive people. I run into similar issues when I go to the post office or similar building that doesn't allow me to carry. I have a place in my car to safely store my P-01 or RAMI, but I leave the holster on.  No one sees it and it's perfectly legal.  I alternate between a JM Custom Kydex OWB (most of the time) and a CrossBreed Quik-Clip IWB (the rest of the time). The perk of the Quik-Clip is that I got it for the RAMI, then dremeled out the end slightly and my P-01 fits as well (honestly so does my 10mm large frame Witness...  O0).  I did trim the leather of the Quik-clip down to the minimum needed to support the shell and clip.  Looks like Crossbreed now sells the "Freedom Carry" which looks like what I finished with.

99% of the time I carry a Glock 27 or a 19. The 19 I like to carry in an Aliengear holster for the extra adjustment and comfort. But the 27 I carry in a Bravo Concealment DOS with the belt clips. It's marketed more towards appendix carry, but I've found that it works really well around the 3 o clock area. It's really thin, carries deep, and it slips on and off way easier than the hybrid style. The clips are adjustable, but it's not as adjustable, as comfortable, or as good at concealment as the hybrid style. I have carried the 19 in it plenty of times, but I usually have to either wear a larger shirt or move the holster to a less comfortable position.

You might could try a thin holster like the DOS with a polymer framed gun like the P07, and that'd help with 2 of the 3 stated problems. I don't have any experience with the RAMI but with you saying you have larger hands I'm not sure if that's the best way to go.

I live in downtown Chicago and carry my RAMI with the 10 round mag everyday in a IWB pancake holster. I have two 14 rounders as backup.

If I need to disarm I pull the holster out with the Rami and lock it up.  That's the easy part.

The real pain for me is reholstering while sitting in the car.  It is not the easiest or most non-conspicuous thing to do and I am sure people wonder WTF is that guy is doing when they walk by! ;)

I also have a P-01 that I carry infrequently (but wish to do so more) for the same reasons.  I have learned the benefit of a good holster, and am looking into this type with the "offset clip" (look at the Pro TL):

http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/tuck.html

The offset clip reduces the overall holster thickness inside the waistband, since the clip is not stacked inline with the pistol itself.

Philo_Beddoe...Here is how I solve the problem of taking my gun out of the Alien Gear prior to entering a NGZ  http://www.amazon.com/SnapSafe-XL-Lockbox-Security-Valuables/dp/B00TONRU9S/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1455824583&sr=8-2&keywords=car+gun+safe

Cable is wrapped around the front seat rail and I go in with only holster on.

The RAMI is more comfortable for concealed carry for me. I do carry the P-01 and PCR more when I am up in the mountains as I dress differently. I also just purchased the Walther PPS M2 to carry when I only have a t-shirt on.
