Recoil Buffer

Does anyone use a recoil buffer on their SP-01 Shadow? I saw them listed on the CZ USA site but am not sure whether they really add any benefit. I am just curious if anyone here uses them.

As far as i am aware the only CZ model that ships with recoil buffers is the CZ Tactical Sport in 40 S&W. From what i have gathered the majority of folks do not use them even with the TS 40. Recoil buffers tend to break down into little peaces when they fail and cause issues.

When I visited the CZ shop in Prague they recommend you use them.  I use the thin clear ones

JMO,   With the right recoil spring,  they are a fix for something that ain't broke.

For ipsc with shadows we use an 11 pound recoil spring and the buffers. They work fine and seem to last indefinitely  (so perhaps they're not doing much - but it doesn't seem to hurt in any way to use them)

I also use the buffers in my TS. Major power loads destroy them quite quickly so you need to inspect and replace regularly.

While I totally agree with this, I use one myself...

Reason is, I typically use rather light loads and have light springs, but occasionally will shoot range ammo.  Not sure if it helps at all, but it doesn't seem to hurt and it helps my peace of mind.

I use them on my Shadow and SP 01. Not sure I noticed a big difference but figure it can't hurt using them. I used the thin one first and it became distorted. I would flip it every time I cleaned the gun. It finally got to be too thin and flimsy so I installed the thicker one and the guns never missed a beat. The thicker buffer shows little wear after several trips to the range and hundreds of rounds.
