I've been interested in that trigger but haven't seen any pull weight specs. Any one able to put a gauge to it? I run the same lower on blaster and precision uppers.
I wouldn't use it on anything precision. I have a few Timney's and Wilson Combat triggers and it does't compare at all to those. It is not bad at all, substantially better than the mil-spec trigger (what isn't right?) but still not up to the standards of the others. I have a crappy old trigger gauge which puts it around 5 pounds on the semi-mode and a bit more than 5.5 on the binary mode. It has a bit of creep on both modes.
That is not to say that it is a bad trigger, just not designed to be finely tuned target trigger. It is one of the most fun range toys that I have purchased for a while though. When you get a bit, check out youtube for some footage.
You do have to tune your gun for it somewhat, but its not bad. It likes to cycle fast, so get a light buffer, a heavy spring (some folks are using a 308 AR spring with good results). Since my 9mm AR SBR is blowback, I didn't want to lighten up the buffer or bolt any, so I just shortened the stroke by using a 9mm buffer (which is longer than a standard AR buffer) and then I added about $3 in quarters behind the buffer spring to really shorten the action up.
The action now is so short that the BHO won't function (which doesn't really concern me anyway) but it is a super short stroke which really speeds the action up.
I did the whole slide-fire thing for a minute and while that was fun, I wanted more control. The binary trigger gives me that control.
