comfy iwb and secure owb
« on: March 18, 2016, 12:23:23 PM »
Im looking for a comfortable, higher end leather iwb for the p07 ... and a strong/secure/combat type side holster for the countryside range days.

can anyone chime in on what you're using -- any suggestions on where to look? i've been eyeing up high noon iwb leathers but can't find any decent reviews on them. not sure where to begin with side kydex tactical holsters.

I have the Blade Tech Eclipse Ambi Holster for my P-07. You can wear it owb or iwb. It's sturdy and you don't know you're wearing one. You can talk directly to Blade Tech or you hit up Your Buddy Stan, if you're interested in getting one. Good luck!!!

Not sure what style of IWB you are looking for but I highly recommend the Garret Industries Silent Thunder Fusion. I carry a full size Sig P226 with one daily.

Fair warning, this isn't the easiest holster to re-holster with when it's on.

And the chart for guns that work

I forgot the mention that these are a kydex/leather hybrid. The outer shell is kydex but the side of the kydex that touches the gun has leather fused to it.

HighNoon holsters did not meet my requirements for a IWB leather holster, my return experience was very good with them.  TTGunLeather and Milt Sparks come to mind for higher end leather holsters.  Personally, I am a fan of hybrid IWB holsters (such as Crossbreed). For secure OWB, I like pancake kydex holsters they don't flop around like single belt loop holsters. Adjustable retention is a must for me.

...can't find any reviews on High Noon? All I do is quality reviews on High Noon! They ROCK the holster world for CZ, as far as I am concerned, and I've tried a lot of manufacturers over the years
High end OWB? Best one I've found yet, the High Noon Slide Guard, open top version with sweat shield. This one is made of bison hide - other exotics available if you want.

It's easy to use, very steady and looks fantastic. Snug as a bug in a rug, too. The Slide Guard is one of my favorite OWB rigs of all time.

IWB, two great options - one is the classic leather Down Under, comes either with straps or clips. Mine has straps, for my CZ SP-01 Phantom.

I still use this with the Phantom, great holster, tough and comfortable.

Last is one of the new hybrid IWB rigs from High Noon - this is the Close Encounter for the P-09;

This took a tiny bit of getting used to for the simple fact that I have never had a Kydex holster before, (not counting the Fobus junk we're issued at work, which is why I also have a High Noon Glock 19 paddle rig just for work use), so I was a bit hesitant. But I can only say that it is comfortable, easy to use, snaps the gun in tight, and works very well. Wore it out of the town just last Saturday, no issues, fast becoming my always choice for off duty carry.

I do have to say the key to a good holster is a good belt - I use the High Noon Rock Steady gun belt, on and off duty, and I'm not shilling for anyone. This is gear I depend my life on every single day. Good belt good holster is the best thing for a holster system to work.
I don't really use anything else but High Noon for my CZ pistols. Only thing I do have any other maker for is the Smith Model 10, and that's because High Noon doesn't make one for my sidearm. That's an old Master's Leather holster, good solid basic rig.
