I missed the new 922 multi packs of base plates/followers
« on: March 20, 2016, 11:53:42 PM »
CZ-USA is now listing packs of followers and base plates for Scorpion mags, US made for 922 compliance, $5.99 for one set up to 10 sets for $49.99. Not as nice as the all metal CZ Custom ones, but much cheaper.

I'm surprised nobody has talked about this before now.  They've been selling them on their website for a month and a half.  I got the ten pack in the mail over a month ago.  They really are a good bargain.  It's nice to see an OEM not price gouging like a lot of companies.

They made a mistake in the description.  It comes as you see it in the picture; 10 base plates and 10 followers in the set.

If you look at the description of the 5 pack, it is correct and says it includes 5 base plates and 5 followers.

Border Dave, I hadn't asked and hadn't noticed, and you're right - that IS kind of odd. However, I think I see something I'm going to have to try to snag for future giveaways... ;)

Thanks for clearing that up Dave. I thought that might be the case, but you never know.

Only if you plan on making your Scorpion Evo pistol into a short barrel rifle and you don't already have enough other 922r conversion parts.

Temping to just get the CZ Custom hammer and sear. That way you don't have to worry about each magazine you buy. Together with muzzle device, trigger, grip, and disconnector, you should have all 6 required US made parts required (provided you're looking at the factory stock. If US-made after-market stock, subtract 1).

Why does that suck?  The mag parts from CZ-USA are inexpensive and easy to change out.  We should all be thanking CZ-USA for bringing these parts to market at such a good price.  They didn't have to do that and they certainly could have charged a lot more for them.

It sucks that after I spent $200 in Mags  now I have to add another $50, on top of that they are sold out, yes they are inexpensive compared to others but now the cost is $25 per mag unless they already come with the correct base and cover from CZ USA,  I didn't check those but the ones  I got from Midway don't.

So after spending 1200+ on a gun and parts and waiting on a SBR stamp you are going to complain about 50 more bucks to make it compliant.
