Angus mentions this (sort of) in his 2017 SHOT show video.  He claims that when a factory CZ slide is cut for a bull barrel, it looses too much integrity.  They were afraid of long-term reliability issues.  He then goes on to say that is one of the reasons they built their own slide this year.

He calls it the Bull Shadow . . . and that's no bullbleep.

  • Is it broken? Then why are you fixing it?

Comparing this to the bushing design.... What's the increase in poi accuracy?
Wife: Is it broken?
Me: No.
Wife: Then why does it need to be fixed?
Me: I knew you wouldn't understand.
Me: You're way smarter than I am babe.
Wife: Ok, so if it's not broken and not fixed, what exactly is it?
Me: It's taking time Hun. Just taking some time.

No bushing? So it's a disposable slide, once it wears out it'll be good for nothing. So maybe a little Less bull, and some bushing would be the better option, similar to bushing and bull barreled 1911s

Don't feel bad, I'm also not following Shadow 2's point.

Shadow 2, I own several 1911's with a Bull Barrel, and none of them have bushings.

Take a look at the Tanfoglio Witness Elite, it has a similar Bull Barrel setup and has been around for years. I'd love a similar configuration for my CTS.
