P-07 Variations?...
« on: March 23, 2016, 08:44:30 AM »
Been looking at the P-07s to possibly order... and trying to figure-out what is 'the' most current version/model #.
Since the 'Duty' was introduced a couple years ago, there have been several important changes (sights, trigger, decocker, etc.)...
I believe there have even been changes in the 'Gen-2' pistols...
Appreciate any input, along with the most current updates... and the most current model# and/or UPC Code.
Thanks

What changes do you think they have done to the gen2 models?

I see that some Gen-2s have two different trigger-contours... some come with a lanyard loop... newer versions have better honing of edges... some have slightly different sights (want 3-dot metal, not polymer)...
For ordering, am I correct that the model# 91086 is the most current?
Thanks

Yes, the Gen 2 is model number 91086. Gen 2 have the medal front & rear sights.

CZ P-07 Duty 9mm: 91186 (Black)

CZ P-07 9mm Gen 2: 91086 (Black)

CZ P-07 9mm Gen 2: 91288 (Urban Grey Suppressor-Ready)

See CZ USA's website:

Hope this helps.....

Called-up CZ... rep said that #91086 was the most current P-07 model... however, they can have some 'minor' variations depending on inventory (sometimes shipping European versions)... but if I wasn't happy with the model, don't shoot it, return it to CZ and they'll make the adjustments to make it to current US specs.
Anyway, just ordered one... should have it sometime next week, and I'll find out.
Everything I've heard about the pistol is VERY positive. Have a bunch of CZs so I doubt I'll be disappointed.
Thanks for the input.

FYI - Here's a YouTube video showing the differences between the CZ P-07 Duty and the CZ P-07 Gen 2:

Only difference I see between the Gen 2 is the trigger contour.

Differences between the "Duty" and "2014" go beyond the trigger contour. Add in interchangeable backstraps, melted slide edges, front slide serrations, metal sights versus plastic, a black finish on the slide versus more of a very dark gray, mags that drop free with force (albeit 15 rds vs 16 in 9mm), and a less aggressive beavertail tang.

And most people can't fit 16 rounds into the duty mags anyways. I can fit 16 in my mags but it will not lock into the pistol

I'm talking about Gen2 vs. Gen2.1.... all I see there is trigger contour.

The difference between Gen1 Duty and Gen2 are obvious.

My 1st Gen had the Euro "U"-outline rear sight and mags that didn't always drop free, my 2nd Gen had the more common 2-dot rear sight, and smoother releasing mags. Also, had frame bulge on them both, which had no effect on durability or function.

Better?

This frame bulge you speak of, is it like that from the manufacturer or is it something that develops?
