Did anyone mention that don't look like urban grey, looks like FDE to me, which is still fine. What year is it stamped?

I believe it's the lighting.

Here are a couple of pictures I took at the 2016 Shot Show of the new "Urban Greys":

That firing pin looks like it was milled that way.  I agree with Stuart, looks like it was made not to fire.  Might be a demo gun that got mixed in with the "regular" guns.
Second that. Broken pin looks broken, not cut. Loaded round is visible from right side. Nice touch. Do pencil test next time:) No worries, mate, CGW FP is better anyway.

There is a stamp to the left of the crest marked 16. Assuming it stands for 2016. Rbschneider is right and so are you it even looks like FDE to me sometimes. It's definitely CZ's Urban Grey which they state has some FDE in the dye. I'm happy with my luck even though have a hoop or two to jump through, I'm sure others would jump at the chance, all things considered. CZ said they have no backstraps in Urban Grey. I'm interested in your opinions. Should I have them send black ones or just wait and get the right color? It might be a while.

I would definitely go black, in fact, even if it came with Urban Grey backstraps, I would have changed them for black. I like the contrast and it matches the contrast from the slide lock and decocker.  I've seen a few FDE with black straps they look really good.  I plan to do this when I get my Urban Grey P-07.

Funny, I was playing with the idea of the black backstraps myself:

I like the look (done in photoshop)......

Yeah now that's what I like! Definitely going to go with black backstraps. I was thinking it but now that I see it like that just WOW. I love how it looks with the mag extension. Thanks guys!

Ok here's the update. To start with, I got my CGW FP today and put it in. Did the pencil test and the gun is now g2g. I also got a response from CZ confirming that the firing pin was cut to be used as a display. The retailer I purchased it from simply made a mistake and shipped it thinking it was stock and a working firearm. Here's the quote which will also answer members questions about the release date. "The P-09 that you purchased from Riflegear was one of only 6 that we have actually shipped.  The reason that it slipped out with the cut firing pin was because they were intended for display.  I apologize for the inconvenience.  I can ship you a new firing pin, and in the near future get you your backstraps.  You are very lucky to have this item, as the flow of these new models is very delayed and will not see them in any number until May."

I read somewhere that Urban Gray is a lighter shade of FDE.  The OP's pictures are the first ones I've seen where the color looks appealing to me.  Nice gun and I can't wait to get a pair of those sights for my P-09

"I read somewhere that Urban Gray is a lighter shade of FDE."

Per CZ-USA's website "urban grey (a mix of grey and FDE)".
