w00t!!!
« on: March 28, 2016, 10:12:13 AM »
Well I got an approval on my scorpion for my form 1! To understand my elation I originally submitted my form back on Nov.21, got a notification on Feb. 26th that my form had gotten disapproved due to a small minor error. An over sight by me I accidentally put my name on the application instead of the Trusts. Talked to the reviewer that did the disapproval told me to resubmit call him when it was resubmitted. So I did so on March 1st  called him spoke to him, told me I would hear something in a week or less. Well It took a bit longer than expected but It's finally approved! So excited! Off the the engraver. And waiting for a 922r kit or do another stock setup. Just so excited and had to share!

Congrats!

ATF was great when dealing with my rejected Form 1. The reviewer checked out my form before I re-submitted and actually found a different error I overlooked. She then expedited to Mr Clutter who approved it 2 days later.

Deleting the incorrect model names in the drop down menus would save a ton of rejected forms and extra busy work.  :-\

I don't think you understand but busy work is what bureaucrats thrive on.  ;)

They are pretty awesome about dealing with corrections.

Thanks - when I checked on the availability box it said "ships in 7-14 days" but at least it's a start...

My form 1 was disapproved yesterday.  We didn't include a street address for the trust.  Our trust doesn't have a street address so City and State were entered. That used to be acceptable.  I guess I had forgotten that they were sometimes coming back over it. A corrected form will be resubmitted tonight.

Email Ted Clutter and give him the submitted corrected form # and you should be back in business in a few days to a week.

That's the plan.  That's good information for those who have to resubmit.  His email address is Ted.clutter@atf.gov .  He'll need the old control # and the new.

Update.   The new Form 1 was approved in a couple hours.  Go Mr Clutter!

98 Days isn't bad.  I don't know why I waited to get my Octane but it was submitted 01/13/2016 and the check was cashed on 01/20/2016.  Hopefully it will be approved in 14 weeks (141,120 minutes) as well but I'm expecting it to run into the 120-150 day range although NFA Tracker predicts a 90% chance of approval by the end of Novenber.
