2016 World Legal CZ Scorpion
« on: March 28, 2016, 08:15:51 PM »
Just had our first world legal scorpion come into the shop. It does not have the new 1/2x28 threaded barrel and features the welded in trigger pack. Also it has a slightly different bolt design that features an extra cut in the top of the bolt (see pictures) and a welded in guide on the inside of the receiver. I assume this has something to do with keeping the scorpion from being turned into a full auto by switching out the trigger pack?

Thanks for the photos and info as it is scarce first hand information  currently.

But none of these changes will change the practical functionality of the firearm.

I'd argue that the welded in trigger does affect the practical functionality of it :)

Only if you want to upgrade the trigger, and CZ has already stated they will swap out trigger paks for the welded ones when they are available. Until then, I AM willing to bet the gun still works. ;)

The trigger seemed like it would be very easy to drill into the weld and remove the collar. But I am still wondering what the purpose of the new bolt design is.

My problem is that I bet my form 1 clears before they have the trigger packs ready so I'll be stuck in pistol mode.

Why? The receiver is what's engraved, so you can swap it out later.

922R.  Not enough US parts without being able to get at the Trigger

All you need to do, to remove the trigger pack is to drill through that weld. Then get a new replacement screw.

CZ hits a homerun then trips and falls.
