Thanks again to all the help. Modified the ejector as shown in the drawings and pics. Also checked the extractor. Don't know if it was fouled or just extremely tight. Only
had 50 rounds through it up to now. Used a very small drop of oil and it seemed to help free up the pivoting motion. ANYHOW, went to the range and went through 100
mini-mags without any FTE's or stovepipes. Pistol is working great and a real pleasure to shoot. Thanks to all the contributions that helped me out.

I have no problems with the original extractor, but, if I get it, already know the solution.. Thanks..

Recently added a Kadet and while accurate still had some problems with ejection from time to time. Not quite regularly but enough to put a damper on the fun since you really can't clear it by typical  means. I did the filing to the ejector and the improvement is remarkable!  From like 10-20% down to 1% on the last test using the same ammomas before.
Only thing is that now my disco is hanging on the reset unless I deliberately let the trigger all the way back. No kits or improvements added. I'd suspect that the grit and grime from the .22's is at least partially at fault. The Omega is easy enough to detail for cleaning that it's not too big of a deal.

Hey SB:
Yeah, these KADETs can be a bit Ammo picky
And the fact that you're dealing with the dirtiest Rounds out there to start with doesn't help
It is interesting how a few swipes with a File, here and there, can make a huge difference in function

For those of you who are wondering, this fix really works.  My Kadet threw a stovepipe about 25% of the time with standard velocity ammo and 10% with high velocity.  Did the fix, which took only about 5 minutes, and no stovepipes after about 160 rounds, mixed standard velocity and high velocity.

Welcome to the Forum Vertigo
Glad to hear the Ejector Mod worked to you
Not to speak poorly of CZ, but one would think that they would be making this fix, standard machining on the new KADET Ejectors

The Ejector Mod worked also on my Kadet 2 on the CZ SP-01 Shadow 1 frame. Thank you ! Now on 1000 rounds zero stove pipes.

Before from one to five with a box of fifty cartridges. Less with CCI standard and Sellier& Bellot Club. 1-2. More with CCI Blazer, and Geco Semi-auto. 2-4. Most with Federal 510. Before finding this forum i tried different main springs. Shortend the recoilspring winding by winding. Filed the extractor, then put a new one in. Before starting my own research the gun has been send twice to the seller for solving this and another problem. A well known gunsmith in Berlin. Then he refused to solve the stuck cases problem and blamed me for a false use of the handgun. I tried different strengths of holding it, with one and two hand shooting. To check if a limb wrist is causing the issue. A comrade of my club had the same amount of stove pipes testing my kadet with hundreds of rounds. Then he orderd one himself..  :)

Just saying thanks for the mod info. I bought my Kadet kit about a year ago and basically had stopped shooting it because of all the stovepipes. I have other 22s so I didn't think about it much until I decided to either to fix it or sell it. I haven't been on this forum for awhile even though I have 6 CZs. Well to make a long story not to long I found this tread followed the instructions and over the last couple of weeks and over a few hundred rounds with no more stovepipes the 75B with the Kadet kit will going to the range a lot more. Thanks again.

Made some pics of the mod i have. I remember some of the vanished pics. On them is less material removed. Only the corner was filed very slightly. Maybe it is better to start with just a little filing in the advised angles shown on the napkin sketch. Then try to find the brass marks in the ejection port and imagine the present and desired way of the case out of the pistol. To optimize the rebound angle. Or realising a direct ejection trajectory out of the window.

First contact point of the brass ? Toothpic pointing

new and modified ejector

GREAT Pics Joe
Shows the Mod very well
Way better than my "napkin sketch"   8)
You really gotta wonder; why hasn't CZ addressed this at the Factory ?

Another issue that gets overlooked when talking Stovepipes, is Extractor Tension
If you have too heavy or weak Extractor Tension, you can also see poor Ejection
The Extractor acts as a Pivot Point for the Case as it is "flipped" out of the Ejection Port

Hello Den
your napkin sketch is epic. It brought me to clearly understand the two angles modification.
Thanks also for the hint towards the Extractor Tension. Until now i only was thinking about a maybe possible mod of the extractor tip angle. To change the releasing pivot angle.
On my wish list to CZ i would add a precision sport model. 6", adjustable trigger position, adjustable trigger force from 0 -  1700 gramm, spring options for subsonic, standard and high velocity ammo, magazines with diffrent capacties and a mag spring push button at the side for easy loading. In orangefactory tuning quality conversion kits in different calibers.

Antreg makes a 6" .22lr Conversion for the CZ75, that has 12 round Mags with a thumb assist:

Hello Den,
6" is interesting. Did´n knew Antreg is making them in  6".
Read in the link they use Lothar Walter barrels, wich i read are in a high quality category. Unfortunately i dont know a shooter owning a Antreg referring to the reliability in function.
A friend gave me for testing his perfect working Oschatz Sport III, black, 6". Outstanding trigger. High quality work. It works with CCI SV, always. No light strikes, stove pipes, nothing. The sear cage is fixed with a little hex socket head screw from the outside through the frame..
It would be also on my long wish list.

Also a 6" on the shadow 1 frame in .22 / 9 mm is possible to order as conversion kit`s or complete gun sets.

Hey Joe:
They both look very cool

I've wanted a 6" LS Upper for my B-SA Frame ever since they offered the TS-LS
