Old CZ 83, New CZ MFG Magazine

I recently bought a "new" CZ MFG magazine [says so right on the bottom of the mag] for my old but reliable and accurate 1986 model.
The new mag does not release and I have to work to get it loose. It is very tight, and will not release even with the grips off [so that is not the issue]. I took many comparison measurements and finally found what I think is a problem.....
The slot for the release sits .060" higher from the base on the "new" mag although the slot is the same width. I still don't know why it won't release. The original mag flies out when released.

I can't use the mag. If anyone here thinks it might fit a newer model or maybe an 82, email me with a name and address and I'll send it along. If it works for you, send me whatever you think it is worth or just send it back if it doesn't.

Those magazines aren't real CZ-UB manufacture. CDNN and other websites sell them, but they are not the Factory magazine. The magazine for a CZ83 and a vz82 are virtually identical.

The real mags from CZ-USA are expensive, but they actually work.

The aftermarket "CZ mfg" stamped floorplate mags have horrible, cheap springs.  They work better when you replace the spring and follower with CZ factory follower and spring.

The springs go quick when in stock.  I had asked for email notification, and when notified, I ordered four the same day.  They were out of stock two days later.
