60 inch pounds isn't all that tight. I have a Torx wrench designed for the Scar that is permanently set at 65 " pounds. Do you have something to use with more poundage Or a way to use a wrench with the Torx bit? You're probably just a few inch pounds off.

Just because I don't trust their wrench. My guess is it's 65 . It feels tight because your wrench slips loose at 60. Proper torque isn't an issue when removing something anyway.
