Is This a P01?
« on: May 06, 2016, 07:11:46 PM »
I've seen this discription used here and at least one other website.  Is this a P01 or are PCRs suddenly getting rails?

http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_82/products_id/719006242/CZ+75+D+COMPACT+9MM+RAIL+DECOCKER+RAIL+14RD

Edit: I'm assuming the picture is wrong.

The rail, I think, is a miss print.  Though the model number is different from both the 75 compact D and the P-01.

It's known as the Compact due to it's steel frame. The same gun with the alloy frame is the PCR
"In the Land of the Blind the One-Eyed Man is King."

I believe it's a P01 alloy frame with a PCR  compact slide. Which if memory serves me correctly the compact slide has different sights than the P01.
A hybrid of the better sights with the light rail I guess you could say.

As I understand it, there are basically 3 CZ compact 9mm handguns excluding the polymer pistols, P02, and Omegas.  These are:

1.  Alloy-framed, rail-having P01 with squared-up sights.
2.  Alloy-framed, no-rail PCR AKA 75D Compact with Novak-style sights.
3.  Steel-framed, no-rail 75 Compact (not sure what type of sights).

You're thinking this listing is some type of hybrid?  I'd email CZ but last time got no response (different question entirely).

I'm looking for an alloy-framed, squared-up sights (for one-hand reloads) pistol for concealed carry.  Rail isn't a deal-breaker.  Basically I'm looking for a P01.

From the stickies at the top of the compact forum. http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=27902.0
You'll also notice in the pics on this thread, that the 75D comes with a railed and non railed frame. Also listed is PCR and P01.

Yep it's a P01 here is a picture of mine it's the UPC99003. Mine is very accurate and the barrel is not black like a P01.

Your sights are different than the one OP listed a link to. Yours also has the lanyard loop at the base. The example doesn't

Does it have real night sights or just the glow in the darks?

CZ uses a few different roll marks for the P-01 Slides for different markets.

"1. 75D Compact is the European designation for the 75P-01 which is only sold in the US. CZ marks the slides according to where they will be sold. "

Sorce: CZ 75 D or P01? Yes

Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

I asked someone at CZ about that model number a while ago.
They were a run that was done for certain distributors and they have night sighs, and a LCI, other than that, they're a P-01.

Alloy frame, rail, compact.

Just different slide markings.

Yep. And to add more confusion, in the 2nd pic of that link you have a 75D that is a PCR. I've also seen 75D's (PCR) with the 75D (P01) slide on it. Aka regular milled sights. [emoji2]
As a side note that I haven't seen mentioned much --- In that same pic in the thread Tok mentioned, above the 75D (PCR) you'll see a 75 compact. Steel frame, rail, safety, upswept beaver tail.
