If you don't want a Trijicon I'm reading good things about the Leupold Delta Point Pro.

It also has the option of mounting a Leupold adjustable rear sight to the back of the optic.  My next dot sight on a pistol will be one of those.

I hear the battery life sucks on the Pro.

Everyone I know who owns one is still on original batteries that theirs came with since they launched and still going strong... It auto shuts off and on, how could the battery life suck? lol

Also, the DP Pro is a tank and my personal vote for the best reflex optic out there right now. And I see and handle them all daily.

I vote for L&M. Here's mine:

You guys are killing me with these pics... I'm waiting on my UG P-07 now and after breaking it in a bit it will go off to Mark.

I'm going to assume this is L&M work on the slide? Looks like they do rear sites and Primary does forward dovetail mounting. My main question before I take the plunge is which seems to be better for the end user? Some say a rear mounted site is quicker because you only use the back ups if the site isn't working. Others say a forward mounted site with rear suppressor sites give you a more natural tracking of site alignment and the dot comes into view like it should, press. I'm going to go with a dual rmr either 7 or 9 moa dot (amber or green), I can get either for abut $400. I will do my P07 first p09 to follow after, all ccw related I'm not a competition guy. Anyway just curious on opinions from all who have them and have posted.

This may be a little off topic, but I was at the range last week the guy  next to me had a Glock with a rmr sight on it that he let me shoot. All I can say is how disappointed I was that it took me all these years of shooting to try one. It was like playing a video game, almost felt like cheating. I have got to get  one!!!!

I just got my P-07 slide back from Mark @ L&M... I opted to have him place the rear sight behind the RMR in the "normal" position. Some say this is visually "busier" but I don't see it that way - hehe - it is the same iron sight picture I have shot for years, after all, and I do not feel it detracts at all from picking up the glowing orb of goodness.

I also find it easier to use the rear sight as a guide when presenting the pistol to make sure everything is lined up right. (Using the front sight only comes into play towards the end of my presentation to avoid orienting the gun high and "dropping" the front sight into place which causes the dot to come into view later in the drawstroke than is desired and in some cases can leave the dot out of sight depending on your angle of view...)

This config is best, also, in the event that I shoot the gun without the RMR... not that I ever plan to, mind you!

Anyway, I personally feel that the notion of placing the rear sight in front of the RMR came about as an attempt by some smiths to be different rather than better. $0.02 :)

is it possible to put the BUIS behind the RMR instead of in front of it?
You can. Thing is, the factory rear dovetail is so far forward on the slide that it puts the RMR RIGHT up to the edge of the breech face and the lens is going to get dirty and nasty pretty quickly there.

Can you (Primary Machine) mount the Deltapoint Pro that comes with the rear sight attached?  I would assume this would be the same as just mounting a red dot with no sight??  I would really like the rear sight behind the optic.  I just still want as long of an iron sight radius as possible.

I first put a Dr. Optic on a Glock 34 in the summer of 2001. It was mounted and had no iron back up sights. It should be noted this Dr. Optic is still running strong on my son's Glock 17 in Israel on a Ze'ev technology slide.

I later went to a milled slide on my Glock, that had back up suppressor sights.

The set up with the back up irons tended to be slightly faster on target in the case of a bad presentation.

I am transitioning from Glocks to P09 and P07.

https://dueckdefense.com/shop/firearms/red-dot-back-up-sight-base-rbu/

If someone would make something like this for P09, P07 I would buy it.

I think a milled in red dot looks great, but if someone would make the above at $50-75. I don't think I would get a pistol milled.

I would really like to see someone make a mount that you could place what ever after market  sights on it you want.

Hi everyone, new to the site as I just picked up a P09. To the person who wrote they added the rear sight picatinny rail from CZC, which one did you get? I saw someone added it to their P09 on a Youtube video, but when I reached out to CZC, they wrote back that none of their picatinny rear sight rails fit the P09. Thanks!
