Charging Handle Problem
« on: December 01, 2021, 11:02:42 PM »
Hello Guys,

I'm experiencing a charging handle issue with my CZ Scorpion Evo3 S1. I did a routine field strip and after re assembling it feels as if the charging handle is not "catching". With the lower removed, charging handle appears to work fine. After attaching the lower, the charging handle is stuck. I am unable to charge the weapon. When I remove the lower the bolt then snaps forward instantly upon removal. Any ideas ?

Thanks.

Two things: Have you removed the charging handle completely and checked it? And is the hammer cocked back when you put the upper and lower together? (dumb question I know but easily forgotten).

Sound like it is an issue with the lower. Dumb question that shouldn't need to be asked, do you have an empty magazine in the mag well?

I was thinking the same thing: if there is an empty mag in the magwell, it will hold the bolt open when the lower is installed. Push the bolt hold open catch down (left side) and then the charging handle should work. This puzzled me as well when I got my first scorpion.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses. The problem was the hammer was not cooked back as you guys indicated.  This was a huge help. Everything is working fine now.
