Every CZ I own shoots slightly low with 115 ammo, probably because they where designed around 124 Nato ammo. Check the target that came with your CZ and you will see they used 124 for testing.  Don't understand why anyone at CZ would recommend 115 but they do shoot everything you can throw at them. For a little longer range I even load some 147 but you need to watch the length etc.

When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Wobbly:
This I got to know about. Who did you talk to at CZ ? Just saying because Angus Hobdell is a regular contributor on the board, and he shoots a 124gr.

Mag10:
Wobbly:  When I called CZ-USA (about three weeks ago), the gal who answered the phone put me on hold and asked a tech person to get an answer to my question.  She told me that CZ recommends 115 or 120 grain ammo for the CZ SP-01.

I blame you.  ;)

This surprises me with the 115 statement. Mine shoots 115's just fine but truly loves 124 grain RMR FP plated bullets (my hand loads). What a wonderful pistol we own eh?  ;D

One of my oldest reloads came from Angus Hobdell  here on the forum.  For "regular matches" he said he shot Zero 125gr JHPs over Vit n320.  I still like that load,  but load a little shorter than he cited at the time.

I have had some feeding issues with S&B 115gr. FMJ in my SP-01, maybe 1%-2%... All other brands, which have been many, have been flawless.

I was wondering the same a few weeks ago and ended up buying bulk 124gr Speer Lawman TMJ and I could not be happier. Wonderful ammo for an indoor range especially. Very clean stuff.

I shot many cases of S&B 115 FMJ through 4-5 CZ 75s over years. Not a single hiccup and more accurate that many common range ammo. In fact, the only ammo that was odd trough my CZ-75BD Police long time ago was Blazer Alum. It worked, but throwing "brass" straight back to my forehead. I have never used it after that.

I shoot Speer Lawman 124 almost exclusively with very good results.

Cheers

I've always liked the S&B bullets. Shot many of them in .45acp through my 1911's and 9mm through other firearms. I bought 2k rounds of the 115 fmj, of which I ran 1,685 of them through my SP-01 over the last 9+ months or so. Once I started having the issue I also picked up many other brands to go back and forth with to determine the issue, including some handloads from a competitive shooter. All others were flawless...

What about reloads?  They are cheap, but are they OK for the gun?

That's all I've shot in my SP-01 for years !

Check the "bullet and weight" the CZ "winners" at the National matches used.
Might surprise you.
