I've heard of bowling pin shooting but didn't realize you shoot real bowling pins.  Isn't there the possibility of chips or ricochets coming back toward the shooter?

Yes--chips can come back.  One fragment came back in my second shootout and hit one of the spectators in the leg but due to the distance it didn't even go through their pants leg or leave a bruise.

The bowling pins are on a 4 foot deep "table" spaced 1 foot apart.  At that distance each pin is about 1 MOA so it requires some skill to get a hit.

That looks like fun, and a challenge.  Congrats on the good performance.

Here's another photo of a later shootout using my CZ97B before the CGW BE conversion.

I didn't do as well in this one, coming in 4th.

The range hasn't had any more shootouts since then.
