CZ SP-01 upgrades.
« on: June 06, 2016, 09:49:41 PM »
CZ SP-01 manual safety.

Time for some upgrades.  I apologize if this has already been discussed.  Please point me in the right direction.

Use is range and night stand gun.  No competitions.

I have contacted Cajun Gun Works via Facebook and email over the last 2 weeks.  No response yet so I'm hoping somebody on here can help.  Growing impatient.  I have the gun completely stripped down.

Eventually I may convert the gun to Single Action Only with a flat trigger, but I want to do some upgrades that improves the SA/DA trigger pull first.

Here's the important part. I only want to upgrade parts that can be used if I continue with the SAO conversion.  In other words, I don't want to buy something and not be able to use it when I convert to SAO.

If that makes me "content" for a while then great, otherwise, plan B is to convert to SAO.

I want to know if the CGW Defense Carry Package SKU: 75100 will give me what I want given the above criteria.

Thanks in advance.

Easiest way to contact David at cgw is to give them a ring. They are extremely helpful and friendly on the phone. One of the few places that won't upsell you on things you don't need.

Pretty much all the parts in the package should work fine without getting in the way of the sao. Truthfully the only thing that would get into the way of the sao conversion would be the disconnector as you can remove that when you're running sao.

If it's a defensive gun, I'd only add sights and a CGW trigger return spring.
Don't mistake my high post count for knowledge or wisdom.   I just like hearing myself type.

Definitely call David tomorrow. He will help you out. I called him many times with very basic questions and he was very helpful.

Email is their extreme secondary method of contact as they're always busy on the phone or working on our guns  ;D :D

Scott and David are always great on the phone and, as was said before, never try to sell you anything you don't need.

Excellent!  2 minutes on the phone and all my questions were answered.  The defense carry package will be a PLAN A to improve the trigger action and all parts will work in the event I decide to go SAO.

Thanks everybody for your input.

Great choice. I did the Ultra-Lite firing pin kit the other day and it is awesome. I'll be buying the remainder of the DC package soon. Let us know how it is.

They sure do look good & appear to offer a good grip.
Are they "thicker" than the CZ thin aluminum grips?

And thinner than the factory rubber?
