I will be following this thread. I enjoy seeing peoples work on surplus firearms.

I will have a look at the stippling idea again. You may have talked me into it.
Of course, I've been wrong before...Tony

A brief update:
Magwell mod is completed. New grips are fitted. I'm going to forego the stippling. I'm jonesing to get this done. If it would just cool down a bit outside I'd have this coated by now. It's around 95-98 degrees in DFW. My garage is unbearable right now.

That's great that you're doing the work yourself. I just purchased one of the Cole Distributors "Ugly Gun" CZ-75's and sent it off to CGW. Once they're done with it, I'll send it to Rampart Firearms for Cerakote.  I'll have put more into the refinish than I did the purchase of the pistol, but I'm looking forward to it.

That was what made me want to do as much as possible without sending it out; cost. I could easily put $7-800 into this pistol, I wanted to see how far I could go without "professional" help.

I did without professional help for years, that why I wear a jacket in a padded room now here at the farm.😄

Not gonna lie...disassembly was a lot easier than assembly. Need my Jedi mojo.

Looking forward to seeing the results! You'll wind up with a really nice, one of a kind CZ (is it a pre-B or B model?). Really like these restorations going on here.

Have you got any pictures of the finished product yet?

I'm still working in the re-assembly. It's kind of a booger. I'll get it though.

You can do it.  I'm excited to see the finished project.

Watch out for the springs, they'll get away from you.
