New CZ P07 FDE
« on: June 17, 2016, 01:54:47 PM »
Picked up my P07 FDE last night and have it all cleaned/lubed, ready to go to the range tonight or tomorrow.  I'll update this thread with my range results this weekend. Came with night sights, 2 magazine extensions, and the lanyard ring.  Once I purchase some additional mags I'll try out the mag extensions.

Too much lighting...the color is darker, like in the last picture

Sorry, gun wasn't cleaned yet in this picture.....

Although I've had many other CZs, this is my first polymer CZ and so far I like it.  I do have one little question for those of you that have a GEN2 P07.  The end of my recoil rod sticks out of the gun just a little bit and there is a slight gap (bigger than a business card) in the area where the barrel and the frame meet.  The recoil rod is seated properly.  When a round is chambered, I can see it through that little gap.  This isn't something I've had on my other CZs (not that I ever noticed) and I was wondering if it's normal and therfore is no issue with firing the gun.  Below are some pictures.  Just wanted to see if anyone had any input on this.  Oh....the top of the barrel hood fits flush against the frame so it's not like the barrel can go back any further so I'm pretty sure this is normal but who the heck if I know for sure.

While I don't have a P07 I do have a P09 which uses the same style recoil guide. Mine stuck out when I first got it but I replaced mine with a steel guide rod from CGW before its first day at the range. I would say that if the slide functions properly. I.e. You can lock it back and then it closes properly after activating the slide release you should be good to go.

THANKS........appreciate the info.  Now to continue my issue with the dealer I purchased this from who told me it had FACTORY TRIT NIGHT SIGHTS.  They looked weird and cheap and I called CZ USA and they told me the gun did NOT ship with night sights.....grrrrrrrrrrr........otherwise I love the looks of this gun and hope to shoot well with it this weekend.  I'll probably end up paying for some CGW P07 night sights.

I like the color, but never understood why tan is called dark earth.

Interesting - so you think they were aftermarket?

I'm not sure what to think.  I can't find any info on these sights and can't find a picture of another FDE with night sights to compare.   They don't appear to be the luminous paint but they aren't the night sights CZ sells for the P07.  The front sight is marked with a 3 and the rear has H3.  Plus CZ USA said it didn't ship with night sights.  I'm at a loss.  I guess I'll just use them awhile and see how they do.  Just odd, that's all.  And of course CZ's records could be wrong I guess.

A user over at ar15.com bought one from anacortes, no night sights mentioned and received night sights.  I want to think that cz included them..but could be wrong.

Congratulations! That's a good looking CZ. All of the things you questioned are normal. My P-07 and my P-09 are both like that. I believe your sights are like the ones on my new 2016 CZ P-07. Do you have a picture of the magazine extensions? I wish they would have came with my P-07.

Have one exactly like it. Pretty good pistol for sure. They are a luminescent plug inside the sights. They glow forever it seems with very little charge. Have it outside of the case in some light and put it away for a couple days and pull it out in the dark and the darn things are still glowing. Don't know what they are using but it works well.

Will check mine for the gaps when I get home.

It is a 91086. I don't know if they would be considered a true night sights.
