CZ P07(09) in a sub-compact?
« on: June 21, 2016, 04:22:52 PM »
Would it be too greedy of me to want a CZ P07(09) design in a sub-compact?  Something the size of the Sphinx SDP sub-compact, but built directly by CZ (and as such, a whole lot more affordable).  A slightly smaller & lighter design with a magazine capacity of 13+1 (or even 12+1) in 9mm and no pic rail.  Other than that, the same basic design as the P07(09).  Don't get me wrong here, my new P07 is fantastic.  I bought an AIWB holster (as noted in a separate post) with plans to carry it in colder weather months.  However, a sub-compact that's slightly smaller & lighter would make for an excellent sized summer carry for those of us with smaller framed bodies.

I think it would be awesome. Stuart from the Custom Shop posted a photo of a P-09 cut down to accept P-07 magazines, but I believe it was a damaged pistol that no longer functioned. You would have to cut down the magazines, I don't think RAMI mags would work.

I would love to see a P07 grip chop that took 12rd witness compact mags.
