21 round mags aluminum vs polymer bottoms
« on: June 22, 2016, 01:58:48 PM »
Are the more expensive aluminum mags worth the price difference?  About $16.  Would think that the polymer ones would be tougher in the long run, especially if they get bounced off the ground during mag changes.

Thanks in advance.

Considering that replacement polymer baseplates are 2/$10 (on sale now for 2/$5) at CZ-USA I opted to just order a few spares to have on hand if they fail at bouncing :)

Will the replacement polymer base fit on the standard 19 round mag and provide 2 extra rounds, or is some other piece needed also?

The +2 baseplates work great on the standard 15 and 17 round P-07/P-09 mags... Here is a vid on how they are installed:

keep in mind, the plastic +2 works on both P-07 and P-09. The base lines up perfectly with the P-07 grip, making it seamless. However, on the P-09, the base does not line up with the P-09, there will be a small break. This bothered the heck out of me. Will post pics later tonight.
