P01 or P01 omega- both w/ CGW enhancement

I've got the green light to get a CGW enhanced P01( defensive carry).

I have a P09 (stock) that I love & have been shooting in IDPA successfully. My P09 has the decocker & want the next gun set up as such too. I can reach the decocker w/ minor adjustment to my grip & my finger fits perfectly with the P09 trigger.

My intended use is carry as well as Idpa competition.

I called David at CGW and found out he only had the urban grey version (surpressor ready) in stock and no idea when the standard P01 omega I was looking for would be in.

So here is my question for the team here- should I get the standard P01 or wait for the Omega version?  What are the pros / cons to either model? Things I'm concerned about are trigger & finger placement, stock sights, decocker reach w/ my thumb. Any feedback on those and other things are appreciated

Love my P01. So far I haven't been drawn to the Omegas.
    Since you really like the Omega in your P09, I say get the P01 Omega. There's a lot to be said for having similar triggers.
   The bad thing may be, that once you get a CGW Omega, you may be tweaking your stock 09 soon after[emoji6]

The decocker will be in different locations on each P-01.  Don't know if that will make a difference or not.  I have short fingers and actually prefer the location of the decocker on the original P-01.

So I found one on line, great price too. I suspect I'll see it at my FFL next week (I hope). Will play with it a little, then probably give Dave at CGW a call for some of his magic.

My P01 Omega came in today, am very pleased. Will field strip it tonight and clean it. Fit & finish is great, SA trigger pull nice, DA heavier & grittier than my P09, but I would expect that to smooth out w/ use. Regardless I'll be in touch with David at CGW for his defensive carry package soon.

Got a great deal on it, $534 after shipment & FFL transfer.

Ordered some extra mags from Greg Cote, and next is a holster. Will likely take it to the range early next week, weekend is already booked with prior commitments

None were available in my area and the best deal I could find online was $579.99 plus shipping on my UG P-01 Omega, which is what DLS has them for on GB, to total $620 otd. I'm not sweating the difference though, just stoked that it will be here Saturday.

So finally got out to shoot my P01 Omega. Very impressed - when I did my job, it was dead on accurate. Gun fits my hand very well with the stock grips. Sights were easy to see, though might just want to get a fiber optic.

While impressed, am going to contact David at CGW to send it in for some of his magic as was the original intent.

I just ordered a new P-01 today to go with my PCR.  DEGuns has them on sale for $539 delivered when you use the free shipping code "SHIP30".  It's the best price I could find anywhere online.  Looking forward to comparing the two.  Possibly the PCR for carry and the P-01 for nightstand use.
