New Evo carbine owner
« on: June 25, 2016, 12:49:46 AM »
Just picked-up my new Evo carbine this afternoon.  Very nice!  Already had some accessories to install.  HBI springs, AK type safety and trigger.  I have a well stocked machine shop in my garage so it only took a short time to remove the welded screw and install the rest of the parts.  The safety is great as is the trigger.  However, the springs may have reduced my pull weight a bit much for my liking.  It feels smoother and lighter than the original, but only a range day will see if it works for me.  This is going to be a firearm the whole family can enjoy.

"Will a can index with your muzzle?"  I do not know the answer to that question.  The carbine will be used as-is.

I held out for the 2016 model carbine with the upgrades and it just came in yesterday with 8 additional magazines, what an impressive pistol caliber carbine. I wish posting photos was easier here as I'd love to share pics.

It would be great if you could post a pic of the muzzle threads.

On most firearms forums it's very easy to post photos, but on this one you must first download to another photo forum,

I'm sure the forum could accommodate the change. Since the forum has limited sponsors there is limited $$$. I'm afraid the change would require all the pop ups and side banner ads to pay for it.

I had to download the free app "tapatalk" to post pics, then it's just like posting pics in a text message.

That sounds like an easy way for me to post my pics.  Going to try that.  Thanks
