Just got a new P09 Urban Grey. Haven't gotten to shoot it yet, but already planning on something for the trigger. This is my first CZ, but I've got a few clones & this is easily the worst stock trigger of the bunch.
But, the real question is slide fit. It's very loose vertically. Measuring near the muzzle right behind the front sight, the slide/frame will move .030". That's a lot & it's noticeable. Is this normal? Barrel lockup is tight. I've had several semi-autos & never had one with a loose fit like this. There is no sideways play, just vertical. I know it won't really affect accuracy, but it's annoying & I would like it to be somewhat accurate if I put a laser on it.
Measuring the mating surface of the slide & rails, nothing seems out of place. I think it's just because the forward rails are so short and and set so they barely reach the mid-point of the slide when in battery. With the slide all the way back, measuring at the 'muzzle' of the slide (now just forward of the front rails) the vertical play is only about .009". Just enough to kinda click, but not really notice movement. Just wondering if they're all this way.
