New Rami
« on: June 29, 2016, 09:30:02 PM »
Just purchased a  new Rami, 9mm, safety. I like the size of the firearm. Shooting the handgun was great, I find CZs shoot a little high for me with the
factory sights. Groups great at 20 yards. My major complaint is that using the mags that came with the gun, the mag release is a bear. A lot of pressure is used to release the mags. When I put in 14 rd mags from my P-01 the mags release is a little stiff but not hard. I am not happy with this. The only thing I can figure out is the spacer on the 14 rounder somehow puts pressure on the frame. The 10 rounder is in between the 14 rounders without the spacers and the one with.

Congrats! I have Decocker version which was really tight too but after cleaning multiple times and using it with snap caps + firing 150 rounds through it. It works great.

Congratulations on the new Rami!  I have the decocker version.  The mag release was really, really stiff on mine too.  I mostly shoot left-handed, so I am trying to hit that mag release with my index finger, which makes it even harder.  At first I had to grip it in both hands in a way that let me use a thumb to release it.  It's still pretty stiff for my index finger, but improving with each trip to the range.  Enjoy!

Yep; I know.  My spouse and I both have the same gun.  Someone mentioned that if we need to use the other's weapon it would be good to have them set up the same so no one has to think about what is different.  That makes sense to me so I'm willing to take one for the team and leave the mag release as is.  And, I also shoot right handed sometimes.

It should loosen up over time with use. Mine did. Do some cgw spring swaps. You will love it.

YES, I installed the CGW ultralite kit in mine last week. Makes it PURRFECT for me!
