Either works. The stock HS is 20# which is why the extended FP is advisable with a lower weight HS. The reduced weight FP Spring is more a necessity in that instance. ;-)

I have a 15# in both my P07 and P09. I've  experienced light strikes with 13# spring.

I tried a pencil test with a 75B 17# hammer spring and a light firing pin and light firing pin spring.  It sent a pencil half way across the shop.  Put the standard firing pin and spring back in it and the pencil came out maybe 3 feet.  Big difference.  I don't know if you can puncture the primers or not.  I decided not to take the chance.  No light hits with a 17 and standard firing pin/spring in the 75B and a P-07.  I do have the CGW firing pin and firing pin spring in two P-09s with either 13 or 15 lb hammer springs, can't remember.  No problems.

Slightly lower double action trigger pull.  Easier to rack the slide for new shooters.  That is the main attraction to me of the 17 compared to the factory spring, which is only slightly stouter.  Not really a big deal, I just couldn't leave it alone, I'm afraid.

That's funny!  I too have a hard time leaving things alone.
