single shoots with 527 - 7.62 carbine??
« on: July 11, 2016, 05:12:46 PM »
What must I do to fire single rounds in my 527 ( 7.62x39 ).
I called CZ to day , they said I must use a " original Bob Sled " to fire a single round at time!
 Is there another way ??

 WHAT SAY YOU!!

The "Bob Sled" is the easiest and most reliable way. You can load a single round in several magazines and keep swapping them. Dropping a round in the chamber isn't a good idea, you will damage the extractor eventually.

You won't hurt the extractor feeding round in one at a time through the ejection port. The extractor is beveled for exactly that purpose just lake any commercial Mauser.  The bob sled does the same exact thing by jumping the case rim. I have the 7.62X39 carbine but it's getting a new stock and glass bedded at CZ USA due to cracking so I can't confirm as I didn't have it long enough and everything was fed from the mag but my 527 Varmint .223 feeds perfectly fine by single loading. You can set the round right on the mag feed lips and it goes right in. When target shooting and shooting prairie dogs I usually do that or just flick it partially into the chamber with my finger. With saying that it sounds more complicated than it really is.

marine one, they do make one for 7.62x39 and they sell it at the CZ Store but they're out of stock right now. http://shop.cz-usa.com/ProductDetail/19896_Original-Bob-Sled-527-762x39  I have one and it feeds much more smoothly than from a magazine or when single feeding a round with the magazine in.
