MY new PCR came home from summer camp at Cajun Gunworks.
« on: July 13, 2016, 02:01:38 PM »
The Fed Ex man returned my CZ 75 D Compact PCR from Cajun Gunworks this afternoon. I am very pleased with how it looks, but we'll see how it shoots when we go to the range.

In response to arthritis in my fingers, the trigger pull is 3 lbs 9 ozs single action, and 7 lbs 11 ozs double.

In addition to the Cajun Carry package, the barrel is crowned and a bushing was added.

Night sights were added.

I am very pleased with the job Dave (Cajun Gunworks) did on this pistol. Will comment more after a trip to the range.

Sounds like a fun range trip is your next step. I would be interested in seeing a picture of the crowned barrel and new bushing.

I took the pictures with my cellphone and they suck  :o; however, the middle picture shows the bushing and the crowned barrel.  :)

Not sure how to upload the pictures to this website. The links to my COTEP account show up on my page here, but apparently nobody else can see them.

You need to upload your photos to a third party hosting site like photobucket.  ;)

I uploaded to Photobucket, so let's see if this works. Two pictures of the crowned barrel and bushing; and a photo of the new night sights.

I give up. On photobucket, I saw no "IMG" code listed.

Slide show worked for me.

Did the bushing come in black or stainless?

Thanks MajO! The slideshow worked for me also and the pics looked good. I have been thinking about the bushing and wanted to see the gap, which your pics showed perfectly.

Dying for pics.  What package did you get?

1. Installation of CZ night sights. (I am getting older.)
2. Defensive Carry Package ("CGW will fully disassemble your CZ and inspect. Next step is to mirror polish the internal parts, install our hammer kit, Short Reset System (SRS), all new heat treated pins and music wire springs (excluding recoil spring), extended S-7 tool steel firing pin and our tempered spring steel FP retaining pin. We tailor the trigger pull for the application, from nearly 4 lbs for self-defense use, down to 2.5 lbs for range and competition use. The SA break will be superb, crisp, clean; 1911 like. The DA will be super smooth and fluid, so good you can call your shots in DA; SA is like cheating. This package delivers 100% reliable ignition, even with DA pulls in the 7 ? 8 lb. range.)"
3. Crown the barrel and installed a barrel bushing.
4. I liked the rubber grips that it came with, so they remained.

MajO, if you click on a separate picture in photobucket so that it expands, 4 small windows appear on the right side of the picture. Click on the img box and it should indicate it is copying, if it does this, then proceed to your post and place your cursor in the place you want the picture. Next do a ctrl v which should paste that picture in the post.  Now go back to photobucket, select the next picture so it is expanded and repeat the process.  By doing this, you will avoid the slide show which results when all pictures are selected and one is not expanded.  Hope this helps.
