-My Kadet Kit-
« on: August 18, 2001, 08:48:31 AM »
I finally got my kadet kit last week, and was prepeard to do some fittings(even printed out Victor Lewis's nicely detailed fitting instruc.)But the kit went right on,I took it to the range and put a 150 rnds.through it in couple of hours,it worked with no probs,it's equipped with round headed firing-pin so I'll just save the chizel pin that CZ-USA send for emergency stuiations.

Couple of Questions though:D    o I need to do any thing more even it all went O.K.(to improve performance)??like hints to make it better??
...and the small screw on the rear sight on the left hand side, what is it for and is it absulutelly "no touch" screw.

Thanks for the answers in advance,I hope there will be no trouble ques. from me at all, only the wonderful performance of the kadet kit.

            Best,

            Hakan.

Here is the pic of it w/ self made birch wood grips on!

PS Thanks to Kev for helping me out with the back ground.

Hakan, I also had my Kadet kit fit without any modifications. Don't question fate -- just enjoy it.

The kit seems expensive to me, but it is a special thing to be able to swap calibers on your gun.

Does the slide lock back after the last round is fired? Just wondering... Most 1911 .22lr conversion kits don't.
