My Kadet finally arrived today
« on: January 14, 2002, 09:08:00 PM »
Ordered my Kadet Jan. 2nd from Jake at Northeast Firearms,  before I read the post about him pulling the 2nd mag and charging for it. Well if that's not bad enough he said at the time I ordered it(Jan. 2nd)  that he had them in stock and would send it out the next day priority mail, Called tuesday last week and he said he would send it out thursday,  well I received it today (Jan. 14th),  enough raggin on Jake I guess.
Fitting of the unit to the 85 Combat took about ten minutes,  excellent directions in manual,  unit also fit right on my 75 SA.  Well let me tell you this much fun shouldn't be legal,  went through a full box of Wal Mart Federal Bulk ammo with it tonight,  only 3 ejection failures and 6 light strikes out of the whole 550 rounds in my 85.  Forgot to mention my sore thumb from loading so many clips tonight.  The only down side of the evening was my 75 SA needed two strikes on almost every round to set them off,  I think the reason is that the hammer on the 75 is alot lighter and thinner than the 85.  I would like to thank everyone on this board who suggested this unit.  I'm not sure if I'm going to put the 9mm slide back on or not!

Congratulations on your purchase.  I'm sure you will be happy with your kit.  J&G Sales has extra mags for $25 each.  Wish I would have ordered more than one extra.  I'd love to have 4 or 5 mags for rapid fire drills.  mapdude

Hello.  You might look at the front of the firing pin which is visible in the hole in the breech face.  Is it rounded or is it chisel-shaped?  If the former, contact CZ-USA for the chisel-point upgrade.  This will alleviate the gun failing to fire due to "light strikes."

            Best.

Congrats!!:)
Sounds like you're going through the same things that I went through...I still have my kadet kit on..
:D  that's also due to closest indoors range I go to does not allow you to shoot anything bigger than the .22.

I agree with Stephen here...you should look into changing the firing pin right away;)
