I've shot a P22 and i liked the grip and i think the sights are not bad, and its accurate!
Because its a really light pistol it have a great recoil for a .22(not an exaggerated recoil :) ) and I've been told that it is only reliable with Hi and hyper velocity ammo, and it jams with certain hollow points.... But i've shoot it with Winchester powerpoint and it shoots great!
(i am not saying that the gun is bad or good, just my opinion and what others(that own it) told me... and i am no expert at all... just a beginner!

Thanks for a great reply to the Walther P22.  That's why I enjoy this and other forums, we get such honest info. I have a similar issue with my Ciener/92FS conversion kit, Advantage Arms/Glock 22 conversion kit, and both my Buckmark and Ruger.  If I do not use hi-vel. ammo...I get stove-pipe'n.
I do not have to buy the hi-dollar ammo, just the hi-velosity stuff.  In fact, the cheapo Remington hi-vel. and Federal hi-vel. bulk packs at Wally-Wld. works just fine in all the above mentioned guns.  Wildcat's are awful.
