On such a small profile, how have people attempted mounting their flashlight remote switches?

I ditched my tape switch and just thumb my tail cap switch works for me. As I just couldn't find a good spot to put one.

So far i love the way my Elzetta is set up. Left hand on the vertical grip and hit the tailcap button with my thumb. Every other place i tried to mount it felt awkward as well.

My light is mounted on the right side. I simply use my middle finger to activate the tail cap switch. Works great on the Evo, works great on my shotgun.

I use a TLR1 HL on mine and it fits perfectly where my thumb can push the button to either momentary or constant on.  I am not a fan of tape switches because I have seen them fail, get caught up in other gear etc.  I like to keep things simple.

Course I do still have my eye on the Linq from Crimson Trace.  Still too new for me to want it on a self-defense gun, but looks interesting.

Same here with a Surefire X300 Ultra. I love it. It's been on pistols and now my Scorpion SBR. I think it's 3-4 years old now. I've never tried an actual flash light on a rifle or any kind of remote switch. Running wires around a weapon seems like a headache, but I bet it's alright if you can get it perfect.

I got my weapon light in yesterday and it has the pressure tape. The wire was way too long, so I cut it and shortened it up. Just a little solder and heat shrink, then secured with electrical tape. She's good to go and about as perfect as it gets. Light was only $55 shipped, highly rated and works great. Nice and bright, came with mount and pressure switch and even batteries. It's not a sure fire or streamlight but it's perfect for a home defense gun. I'll post a pic if anyone's interested.

On my pistol, for the light I just use tailcap switch. For IR laser, which is on right side, I put the tape pressure switch on the angled portion between front sight and muzzle brake. I had to bump front sight back one notch for it to fit. Works great there and I activate with it my thumb.  No pics because Scorpion is off to cerakote to get some parts color matched.

TLR -1S here.

Run it in the forward 6:00 position, ditched the hand stop.

Works like a champ.

...remote switch?  :o

Old school magwell hand hold, access tailcap with weak hand thumb, no problem. Cheap as cheap can be.

Larue tactical index clips come in real handy for wire management
